I could tell the animals were being looked after, and that was reassuring to see. At the same time, a few of the enclosures felt a bit small to me, which made the visit feel a little mixed. It was one of those experiences where you enjoy seeing the animals up close, but you also walk away thinking more about what they need to really thrive

As a parent and a total sucker for animal-themed stuff, I really liked the zootampa gift shop. It didn’t feel like just a wall of generic souvenirs, they had a fun mix of plush animals, shirts, cups, magnets, and little toys that were actually cute.
The prices were pretty much what I expected for a zoo gift shop, maybe a little high here and there, but nothing shocking. My kid immediately fell in love with a manatee plush, and I picked up a magnet for our fridge. Super easy 5 stars from us.

The zoo was a fun day overall, but the food situation was underwhelming. We grabbed burgers, fries, and a couple sodas, and it was all fine, just really basic for what it cost. Once we were inside and hungry, it kind of felt like we were trapped paying those prices unless we wanted to leave or wait it out. The lines were also slow around lunch, which didn’t help. I’d probably bring snacks next time if that’s allowed. Giving it 3 stars because it did the job for a quick meal, but I was definitely expecting a little more.

We got the ZooTampa membership this year, and it’s been fine, I guess. If you go a few times, it does save money, so I’ll give it that. Parking being included is nice, and the kids enjoy going, which is the main reason we keep using it. But the food and little extras still get expensive quickly, so it doesn’t feel like as great of a deal as I hoped. It would be nice if a few more perks were included. Overall, it’s okay, not terrible, just not exactly amazing either.

We had a nice time at zootampa overall, and there were definitely some fun areas to walk through. The only thing is, it got hot quickly, and I found myself wishing there was more shade along some of the paths and near the animal areas. Seating was a little hard to find when we wanted to take a break too, especially with it being busy. That said, it wasn’t a huge deal, and we still enjoyed the visit. Just something to keep in mind if you’re going on a warm day.

I found a spot in maybe a couple of minutes, so parking was super quick and easy.

Took my kids to the zoo last weekend, the place was almost too clean. Like, I kept looking around for the usual random napkins or popcorn trails near the food spots, but nothing. I’m not saying there’s a secret cleanup crew hiding behind the bushes, but I’m also not ruling it out.

Even the bathrooms were in surprisingly good shape, which feels rare when a place is packed with families. The staff clearly stays on it, or they’ve got some kind of underground zoo-cleanliness operation going on. Either way, it made the whole day way more enjoyable.

We still had a nice time walking around and the place was clean and easy to enjoy. That said, a lot of the animals seemed to be hiding today, so we didn’t get to see as many as we were hoping for. It was still a pleasant visit overall, and I’d probably try coming back another day

We went to ZooTampa mainly to see the animals, but the splash pad kind of stole the show for my kids. They were so excited and once they got in there, it was like... yep, this is where we’re staying for a bit.

It was clean, easy to find, and such a nice break from the heat. I also really appreciated that there was space to sit nearby and keep an eye on them without having to hover the whole time.

Definitely bring towels and a change of clothes because we almost forgot ours, and that would’ve been a whole thing. Such a good little spot for families, and it made the day feel way easier than I expected

Had a nice time here, it was easy to get around and the walking wasn’t bad at all. Nice simple layout, so we didnt feel lost or anything.

We spent a few hours at ZooTampa for a family day out, and overall it was decent. The kids had a great time seeing the animals, which made it worth it, but a few spots felt really crowded and the food was more expensive than I expected. Still a nice place to visit with little ones if you’re not planning on staying all day

We had a really nice day at the zoo overall and the animals/exhibits were great, but wow, the food and drink prices inside were high. It felt like we paid way too much for really basic stuff. What made it more annoying is that it’s not super clear who’s actually responsible for the food prices or vendors, the zoo, a separate company, or whoever runs the stands, so you don’t even know where to direct the complaint. Next time we’ll definitely eat before we go. Still a fun visit, just be prepared because it’s not cheap once you’re inside

I try not to be too picky, but I do expect basic accessibility info to be clear when a place is open to the public. The wheelchair paths were confusing, and when we asked staff about accessible seating, they didn’t really seem sure where to point us. The zoo itself was okay, but the experience ended up being more frustrating than it should’ve been

I went to ZooTampa with my kids, i was really relieved by how clean the bathrooms were. No weird smell, plenty of soap and paper, and everything felt taken care of. When you’re out there all day with kids, little things like that make such a big difference...

It was okay overall. The rides and attractions were decent, but it feels more geared toward kids than adults. A few things looked fun, sure, but I’d definitely check ahead to see what’s actually open before going. If too much is closed, the place could feel a little limited. Not a bad time, just not really a full theme park kind of day.

Some areas were easy enough to find, but there were a few points where we felt like we were just walking in circles trying to find certain exhibits or food spots. The map helped a little, but it didn’t always match up clearly with the actual paths once we were there.
The staff were friendly when we asked for help, so that definitely made things easier. Still, I think better signs near turns, exits, and main walkways would make the whole visit a lot less confusing. I’d give it 3 stars.

We took our kids to ZooTampa and they seriously had such a good time, like one of those days where you can tell they are going to talk about it the whole car ride home and probably the next day too. The splash area was probably their favorite part because they could cool off and run around for a bit, which helped a lot since kids can only look at animals for so long before they need to burn off energy. They also loved feeding the giraffes, and what surprised me most was that even my shy kid, who usually hangs back with stuff like that, actually got into it and was smiling the whole time.

There was plenty to do, but it did not feel like we had to rush from one thing to the next just to make the day worth it, which I really appreciated. A few lines got a little long here and there, but that felt normal for a popular family spot, so it was not a big deal. Overall, it was a really nice place for a family day out, especially if you want a mix of animals, kid-friendly activities, and enough variety to keep everyone entertained.

The animals were definitely fun to see, and that was probably the best part. But the whole encounter felt way too short for what we paid. I left feeling a little disappointed because it seemed like just as we were getting into it, it was over. Not terrible, but I expected more for the price...
